Prof Ji-Sook Hahn received her BS, MS, and PhD in Microbiology from Seoul National University, and after postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan and Duke University, she returned to Seoul National University as a faculty member in 2004. Her research focuses on understanding and redesigning cellular regulatory networks. Her group is interested in elucidating signal transduction pathways in cellular adaptation to various environmental stress conditions as well as applying metabolic engineering and synthetic biology tools to develop robust microbial strains for the production of chemicals and biofuels.
