Prof Jina Kang

Prof Kang is currently a full professor in Technology Management, Economics, and Policy Program and Industrial Engineering Department at Seoul National University (SNU). She received her PhD in Strategy and Technology Management from the Anderson School of UCLA, MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and BS in Management Science from KAIST. Prior to joining SNU in 2005, she was a member of the business school faculty at California State University, Fullerton, where she taught core strategy courses in undergraduate and MBA programs. Her research centers on strategy and technology & innovation management and has received various prestigious awards including best paper awards from Creativity and Innovation Management, Asia Journal of Technology Management, Journal of Technology Innovation, and Korean Scholars of Marketing Science, among others. Prof Kang is on the editorial board of the Journal of Korean Operations Research, Management Science Society, Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science and Review of Cultural Economics and an invited adviser of Harvard Business Review. She is also a vice president of the Korea Society of Strategic Management, a member of the board of directors of the Korea Society for Innovation Management and Economics. She has also served for the university and government by being on the SNU Women Faculty Council and Presidential Committee of Green Growth, as well as Components and Materials Development Committee for the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy of the Korean Government.
